Moon Munchies started in 2021 as a deliberate experiment. Founder Nina Vega had been baking obsessively for years — testing textures, pushing into unusual flavor combinations, trying things that had no business working. She noticed a gap: people want something real to eat late at night, and there's almost nowhere worth ordering from after 10 PM.
So she started selling out of her apartment. First to neighbors, then to friends of friends, then to strangers who found out there was someone on Crescent Ave making brown butter espresso cookies at 10 PM and actually delivering them across Astoria.
By 2022, the apartment batches weren't keeping up. Moon Munchies moved into a proper kitchen — still small, still owner-operated — and built a delivery operation to match the demand.
Today: 214 Google reviews, a 4.8-star rating, and a growing list of regulars who won't order dessert from anyone else when it's late.

We open at 5 PM and run until 11 PM on weeknights, 1 AM on weekends. The craving doesn't care what time it is.
